[YOUR CALL]
CQ the Mankato Area Radio Club Emergency Services Net. CQ the Mankato Area Radio Club Emergency Services Net. This net meets every Sunday evening on or about 9:30 PM local time. The purpose of this net is to: handle traffic, encourage 2 meter activity in the area, and provide emergency training.
Your net control this evening is [YOUR CALL] and my name is [YOUR NAME].
This is a controlled net. To check in, give [YOUR CALL ONLY]!
At this time are there any stations with [TRAFFIC ONLY]?
Give stations time to check in, then read back their calls to confirm they were heard. If there is traffic, ask for someone to receive it. If it is a short message, handle it on frequency so others can hear how it is done. If it is a long message, have the sender and receiver move off frequency. Net control has discretion on how this is handled.
Are there any mobiles or short timers?
Give stations time to check in, read back calls, allow informal comments, and release them from the net.
Are there any stations with call suffixes beginning A through M?
Give stations time to check in and read back their calls.
Are there any stations with call suffixes beginning N through Z?
Give stations time to check in and read back their calls.
Are there any stations I have missed?
Give stations time to check in and read back their calls.
We will now take informal comments starting with [FIRST CHECK-IN, etc.]
After going through the list for informal comments, ask:
Are there any other check-ins for the Mankato Area Radio Club Emergency Services Net? This is [YOUR CALL].
Give stations time to check in, read back calls, and ask for their informal comments too.
At this time I will close the net. There were [NUMBER OF CHECK-INS] check-ins. Thank you all for participating. I will now turn the repeater back to general amateur use. This is [YOUR CALL].
